Itmax – daughter Selmax contains a 10 -year contract such as Shah Alam, Subang Jaya Public Parking Operator – Paultan.org

In July, the Selangor government announced that a newly appointed concession company Public Tasks for collecting parking money for four local councils (PBTs) in the State would take over from 1 August.

It was said that the entire daughter of Mentri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) Rantaian Mesra cooperates with the appointed company to conquer the parking costs for the four PBTs, namely the Petaling Jaya (MPS) city council.

I agree or not, this has now begun, with the announcement of the ITMAX system in recent weeks that it has secured its 70%daughter Selmax-a 10-year contract of both the MBSA and MBSJ to manage the Selangor Intelligent Parking (SIP) system for both councils.

In an application at Bursa Malaysia last week, ITMAX said that the contract with MBSA contains an option for an extension of five years, subject to reviews by the Council and SIP system provider Rantaian Mesra, Declared reported.

It added that Selmax, who accepted the revised letter (LOA) of MBSA on 1 August 2025, will also manage parking connections in areas under the jurisdiction of MBSA, and stated that all three parties, Selmax, MBSA and Rantaian Mesra will be used.

The same regulation is also present for Subang Jaya, where the appointment is 10 years, with an option for an extension of five years, based on an earlier announcement at the beginning of the month, as reported by FMT. Selmax will operate all gazetted parking spaces under the jurisdiction of MBSJ.

Both schemes will also contain a similar scheme for sharing income, whereby 50% of all the income from the parking collection is stored by Selmax, whereby the rest is distributed at a speed of 10% to Rantaian Mesra and 40% to the respective council.

For users there is no change in the way they pay for parking, because all parking payment apps as usual remain. This means no changes to the available payment options, such as Flexi Parking, Smart Selangor -Parking, Touch ‘n Go, Setel, etc.
