UFC legend Israel Adesanya has explained why he will continue with a potential rematch against Sean Strickland.
Although he is perhaps a former double UFC champion middleweight, Israel Adesanya now urgently needs a victory. He drives on a three-fight loss streak, in which some suggest that he is now past his best in the cage. Of course ‘Stylebender’ has made a career himself by proving people that people are wrong.
One of the most striking defeats of Israel Adesanya was a pretty surprising in the hands of Sean Strickland. Sean was able to drop him and beat him to conquer the UFC championship middleweight and since then fans have wondered what would happen if the two decisions run back.
Israel Adesanya has been quite interested in it, but after he has not heard much of the Strickland camp, he stated that he has decided to continue with the idea.

“I mean, I am not surprised,” Adesanya told Submission Radio when he was asked about Strickland who ignored his callout.
“If you want to do something good, do it the first time. That is the lesson I learned.
“He does other things in his own life. He has earned the money he wanted to earn,” Adesanya continued. “I don’t want to wait.
“I went on. I just want to fight … I will stay ready for everyone.”

Adesanya was humble in his reaction, probably because he remembered what happened the first time. But still, even if Strickland does not want to entertain the idea of a rematch, there are still a lot of middleweight contenders who would enjoy the prospect of testing himself against a man who has been running the division for a long time.
