The seller of today’s great price or no dice Solstice describes itself as ‘motivated and responsive’. Let’s see if they have priced their Pontiac to make us feel the same about the potential sale of it.

Apart from language differences, it is a challenge to distinguish between the sentences “that go the extra mile” and “things go too far”. One has a positive connotation, while the other is often offered as a conviction. Both, however, retain comparable sufficient contexts that can confuse them unknown with English language constructions.

It could be said that the maker of the Chrysler PT -Cruiser Marilyn Monroe -Tribute -car from 2003 that we looked at yesterday went one step further when adjusting the car. The Solstice, together with his Saturn Sky, Opel GT and Daewoo G2X production line brothers and sisters (all also RIP), was built on a brand new platform that GM Kappa has designated. It was intended to support a whole series of different cars, but the economy and the general preference of the market for cross -overs about small cars destroyed that plan.

That was less a consideration at the end of 2005, because GM had enough trouble to inform only the Kappa production -Line of what was perhaps the most interesting new cars that the company had produced in a long time.

This 2006 Pontiac Solstice is one of the first 1,000 that rolls from that mounting line, as the board is to wear it on its dashboard. The large overall form of the car reflects its low 48,500 mileage, and what the advertisement claims is a history of ‘beautifully maintained’. As a result, the seller classifies the car as in excellent condition and claims that he is a 100% turnkey driver.

Unlike yesterday’s heavily modified Chrysler, everything about this solstice seems to be in the factory. The alloy wheels are non-broken and wear rubber with a lot of tread. The cabin fits with a car of its age and shape and is somewhat bare bones, without a middle pile screen in favor of a CD -Sereo. The windows and ditches are driven, but the seats and the top are both operated manually, whereby the last of the driver has to get out of the car and open the boot lid for his increase and lower.

Just get a Miata?

There are a large number of solar windscreens (Solsti?) On the market, and there is also a pretty solid fan base that supports it. Another factor is that GM has robbed the parts bin for many of the functions and powertrain of the model, so replacements are available both cheaply and immediately.

This is also available for $ 8,450. However, the question is whether that is logical expenses, or that a similar priced and spec’d Mazda MX-5 might not be a better bargain.
