Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman compared the US government to the top Nazi propagandist after President Donald Trump again warned Tehran against pursuing a nuclear weapon in his State of the Union address to Congress.

Trump has ordered a massive military buildup in the Middle East and threatened to attack Iran if the country does not strike a new nuclear deal with the US. Tehran denies it is trying to build an atomic bomb.

“Professional liars are good at creating the ‘illusion of the truth,’” Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said in a post on X after Trump’s speech.

“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth,” is a propaganda law devised by Nazi Joseph Goebbels. It is now being systematically used by the US government and the war profiteers that surround it, especially the genocidal Israeli regime, to serve their sinister disinformation and disinformation campaign against the nation of Iran.

“Whatever they claim regarding Iran’s nuclear program, Iran’s ballistic missiles and the number of casualties during the January unrest, it is simply the repetition of ‘big lies’. No one should be fooled by these prominent falsehoods.”

A new series of diplomatic talks between the US and Iran are scheduled for Thursday in Geneva. The nuclear issue is top of the agenda, but the US also wants to discuss Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities and its support for proxy militias in the Middle East.

They want to make a deal, but we haven’t heard those secret words: ‘We will never have a nuclear weapon,'” Trump said during his speech on Tuesday.

“My preference is to solve this problem through diplomacy, but one thing is certain: I will never allow the world’s largest sponsor of terror, which they are by far, to have a nuclear weapon,” he added.

“And no one should ever doubt America’s resolve. We have the most powerful military in the world.”

Trump also warned of the dangers of Iran’s missile program and boasted about the unprecedented strikes, known as Operation Midnight Hammer, that he ordered against three Iranian nuclear power plants during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel last June.

He claimed that Iran is making renewed efforts to develop a nuclear bomb despite Tehran’s repeated denials.

“They have already developed missiles that could threaten Europe and our bases abroad, and they are working to build missiles that will soon reach the United States of America,” Trump said.

“After Midnight Hammer, they were warned not to make any future attempts to rebuild their weapons program, especially nuclear weapons. Yet they continue to do so.”

“We wiped it all out and they want to start all over again,” Trump added, “and are once again pursuing their sinister ambitions as we speak.”
