Introduction of the Inspector for Divi 5

4 minutes, 7 seconds Read

I am incredibly enthusiastic about this new Divi 5 function because it will change how you work and Divi gives a lead over other builders.

It is called the inspector, inspired by a similar system in Figma, and now available for Divi, except even better!

Inspect an element to get an overview of the most essential attributes, including all underlying elements. Then quickly change colors, fonts, sizes, content and presets about everything. It is a huge time saving.

Watch the following video to see the new function in action. šŸ‘‡

Inspect everything, edit everything

Right -click everything and “Inspect” to open the inspector.

The Inspector Aggregates and drives all the essential attributes for the inspected element and his children, which gives you a list of all colors, fonts, sizes, images, preset (and more) that are used everywhere.

Once the inspector is open, you can click to investigate other things. You can also navigate to different elements using breadcrumbs and inspect the entire page.

The inspector differs from the settings panel, because the attributes group per type. All modified colors, for example, are in one place instead of spreading between different tabs and groups.

Bulk processing styles easy

The inspector superficial colors, fonts, weights, shapes and more, all of which can be adjusted in one fell.

As shown in the video below, when I click on a section, the inspector shows me all the colors used in that section and the rows, columns and modules. When I change a color, everything is updated at the same time.

It is nice to moor the inspector under the settings panel for an always present overview of essential modified attributes.

Inspect content, media and preset also

The inspector comes up more than just styles.

The Content tab shows changed text, media, code and attributes, and the Preset tab shows every active module and group preliminary institution within the inspected element.

As shown in the video below, when I investigate a section, I see three button modules using the blue edge button set in advance. I can exchange or remove that preset for something else, update all buttons at the same time.

Bulk processing characteristics within the presets of your page

And here is the real kickerI kept the best for the last time!

The inspector is even adjusted to the attribution inside the preset that are used on your page.

As shown in the video below, inspecting a section shows me the colors used in various elements and presets. When I change the color, it contributes to static colors and I also adjust the color in presets.

Just like that, I have updated a color over several elements and within several presets in just a few seconds. You do not have to hunt elements and presets to find the attributes that you want to change; The inspector will automatically come for you.
