Interior decorated by a decade when we were still happy and more free. | August 23, 2025

After a long time coming home through the doors, which is now often synonymous with a feeling of “doing” for me after the summer. It is dusty, the furniture looks boring and a general feeling of bla. Someone else who recognizes?

Note that I am currently attracted to an aesthetics that has previously been a no-go for me, perhaps because that decade is still seen as too close to my own upbringing. Fashion is now characterized by it, but it is a bit slower in interior design. So what inspires (I anyway) to pull your eyes to a decade that can be summarized by optimism, the tree, globalization and strong popular culture (these trends were also reflected in interior design, which, for example, does not remember a computer corner (the Sims Maratons <33))?

Perhaps it is a more relaxed, minimalist and personal interior design? Who knows, it might also be as simple as interior styles, just as fashion always comes back and is now the turn of the nineties. Also in the last decade we were still happy and more free? Before social media and smartphones existed. Of course I saved a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, we look at it together:
