Now that the former GM Lou Lamoriello has now disappeared from the organization, the players in the Roster of New York Islanders have started a trend that is far too late according to many – growing beards.
Lamoriello has long been known as a stickler for no facial hair or longer hair on his players. He forced them to be a clean shaved and cut their long locks, a movement that has been rejected by fans and media everywhere in the competition. After his departure, the hair started to grow back.
Lou Lamoriello is from the island and the islands immediately threw away the razors?

Bleacher Report Open Ice shared a photo of many of the players on the annual Golf Tournament, where the islanders picked up more than $ 740k for the Islanders Children’s Foundation on the 17th annual golf outing. One thing that fans noticed immediately was the number of players who breed and Anthony Duclair tried to get his dreadlocks back.
One of the beating on Lamoriello was that he has strict, outdated rules – no facial hair, no “strange” figures and demonstrably no individuality – claiming no player should stand out above the club. Many beards and mustaches are cut under his watch.
Even if an unofficial “respect” practice today, maintaining such meaningless rules in the dressing room remains useless and frustrating.
During his GM career, Lamoriello forced strict care rules – from New Jersey to Toronto to the islanders (and now, nowhere) – emphasize the discipline and team culture about personality. Modeled to the Yankees policy of George Steinbrenner, Lamoriello, above all, appreciates the sweater and organization. Although fans can object, players generally accept it, they are the role of insight into building a consistent, dedicated team culture.
Of course, now that he is gone, his players are pleased to go back to the appearance they prefer.
