However, Paik says that this new partnership will lead to business possibilities that are far beyond South Korea.

“Lg Ai’s Exaone is considered the leading sovereine AI model in South Korea. It will not only be used within LG. It will be one of the most important AI models used in the Korean AI eco -system. We expect that there are many demands for these exa -time, including Paikaa.

The decision of LG AI to adopt the AI chip and the accelerator of Furiosa is remarkable for another reason: it is one of the few public notes of a rival of Nvidia by a large enterprise, Paik said. An important reason for the victory is that the hardware of the startup costs less.

“We had to prove that our solution not only delivers strong performance, but also lowers the total ownership costs,” said Paik.

Furiosaiai claims that his RNGD accelerator performed better than the competitive GPUs with the Exaine models of LG AI Research and delivers 2.25 times better inference performance. Paik also says that LG discovered that the Furiosaian -hardware was more energy efficiency.

The Chip of Furiosa is not a general GPU, but is exclusively built for AI. “We can efficiently support a wide range of AI models. But in contrast to GPUs, which are still fundamentally general processors, our architecture was built native for AI Computing. We are not developing our chip for rendering or mining,” said Paik.

The Startup, which also operates an office in Santa Clara, has a worldwide team of only 15 employees.
