Earlier this month, seven LMCT+ founder Adrian announced “Lambo Guy” Portelli in as the main sponsor and the spotlights will take in the live final of the show.
Portelli reached the headlines with more than $ 27 million on eight Blokhuizen last year and giving $ 50,000 to Sunrise -hastheer Alex Cullen in a stunt that ended the nine career of the presenter.
For my Reno rules he will give away two houses of millions of dollars to viewers in a final seven to match the Block’s Sunday Auction Night event.
Sources from the industry say that the 2026 season will see four teams transform two expired Melbourne houses under the watch of host Dr. Chris Brown, who compete for a large cash prize, while viewers have the unprecedented opportunity to win one of the completed properties.

The changes come when the block is confronted for its own challenges, in which insiders point to the softening of real estate markets and the underperformance of spin-offs such as mentioning Melbourne.
While that show tried to channel the glamor of luxury listings Sydney, where Cohen was a central figure, it was never connected to the audience.

An insider from the industry said the Herald Sun that there was “a lot of curiosity” about how the format will perform, but warned seven confronted with a huge task.
“People are interested, but the block is a Juggernaut, it has been unbeatable for years and my Reno rules have been around in different forms for more than ten years,” said the source.
“This is a big swing, but whether it lands is a different story.
“Seven’s Gamble is clear. Stack the line-up with personalities block fans, add Portelli’s high-doctane profile and hope that the size will finally hit its pass.”

In the meantime, the source has revealed that Miter 10 is said to be in discussions to get on board as a big sponsor after he has been avoided this year in favor of Bunnings.
A deal would give seven a direct link to the past of his rival, and the hardware chain a chance to recover prime -time renovation -turf that it once dominated.
