Internet personality Ellidy Pullin is selling a property on the Gold Coast

Model and property developer Ellidy Pullin is taking advantage of a fleeting opportunity to market her Gold Coast apartment with newly revealed ocean views, before a two-storey house is built on the sand, blocking the prized view.

The currently unobstructed view of the beach is a temporary bonus as the property that previously stood opposite has been demolished to make way for a new house.

Ms Pullin, a popular social media influencer, author and widow of former world champion snowboarder Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin, has marketed the renovated Palm Beach unit through an expressions of interest campaign with Coastal agent Ed Cherry.

Records show she paid $900,000 in June 2023 for the two-bedroom, one-bathroom investment property in the 1970s Ocean View Lounge building at 238 Jefferson Lane.

The sale comes as Ms Pullin shifts focus to a new project, a duplex development planned for a nearby beach location.

She bought that property off-market in May 2024 for $3.15 million, after selling another property in the southern Gold Coast for $1.76 million two months earlier.

The plans submitted to the council in August include a proposal for a four-storey building with two luxury four-bedroom units, each with a sunken living room and dining room, an infinity pool, a sauna, an ice bath and an outdoor shower, along with a rooftop entertainment area.

Mr Cherry said Ms Pullin’s vision had grown with each project, stating she had ‘nailed’ the smaller-scale beach reno in the holiday hotspot Palm Beach.

Located amid a mix of townhouses and beach shacks along exclusive Jefferson Lane, the unit had operated as a successful short-term vacation rental, with sales of about $70,000 a year.

But while the photos on the listing show an uninterrupted coastline visible from the apartment’s large balcony, Mr Cherry confirmed the view would soon be “built out”.

“It’s on the beach, but not on the ocean. There’s going to be a new two-story house in the front,” he said.

The unit has functioned as a popular vacation rental

The apartment was described in the ad as “carefree, coastal and charming”.

“Just steps from the beach and one of only four in a complex… it is infused with a mix of modern and vintage character.

“The kind of cheerful atmosphere that immediately makes you smile, flooded with sunlight and sea breeze.”

Features include an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area with patio doors leading to the deck, while the generous master bedroom has a built-in window seat and modern bathroom.

“The property already has an established reputation as a popular Airbnb, so there are opportunities to earn short or long-term rental income,” Cherry said.

PropTrack data shows that unit prices in Palm Beach increased 3.4 percent over the past year to an average of $1.81 million.
