The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially unveiled the Indian squad for the upcoming Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from December 12 to 21. Young Chennai Super Kings opener Ayush Mhatre has been named as captain while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals also finds a place in the squad. U19 Asia Cup 2025: Tournament Overview
The continental U19 tournament will see eight teams compete against each other in the ODI format. The participating teams include:
- India
- Pakistan
- Sri Lanka
- Bangladesh
- Afghanistan
- Three teams will qualify through the ACC Men’s U19 Premier Cup
The competition will be held at two venues in the UAE: ICC Academy and The Sevens.
BCCI confirms Indian selection for U19 Asia Cup
On Friday, November 28, BCCI announced the final squad selected by the Junior Cricket Committee.
- Ayush Mhatre will captain the side
- Vihaan Malhotra has been named vice-captain
Kishan Kumar Singh has also been included depending on suitability. Four standby players have also been mentioned:
Rahul Kumar, Hemchudeshan J, BK Kishore and Aditya Rawat.

Both Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi have already made headlines for their impressive performances in domestic cricket and the IPL, earning retention from CSK and RR respectively for IPL 2026.
