India-Pakistan Veke continues at Asia Cup while Captain Yadav refuses the handshake

The leader of India, Suryakumar Yadav, chose to again shake the Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha in the Pakistan during the toss for their Asia Cup match on Sunday, while hostility between the bitter rivals rumbled at the eight-team tournament.

The Asia Cup is dominated by headlines over India and the first meetings of Pakistan on the field since the military conflict between the nuclear armed neighbors in May of this year. India has won both games and won the second at six wickets on Sunday.

India won the politically charged group A match last week with seven wickets and their players refused to shake hands with Pakistan after the game. Suryakumar devoted India’s victory to their forces, while several of his teammates expressed similar thoughts about social media.

A furious Pakistan considered withdrawing from the tournament to protest against the referee of the match, Andy Pycroft, who, according to them, approved unsporting behavior by India. They delayed their match against the United Arab Emirates with an hour on Wednesday and only continued the game after an apology from Pycroft and the certainty of a study by the International Cricket Council.

Once the game was underway, an opening position of 105 run between Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill the defensive champions to victory helped. Pakistan stuck in Bat, Pakistan set India a target of 172, which they reached with seven more balls.

A 72-run partnership between Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub for the second Wicket laid the foundation for Pakistan’s innings after Fakhar Zaman (15) fell early. Farhan, who was fell in the first place by Sharma, completed his 34 balls for half a century and sent Pakistan to 91 for an after 10 overs.

Pakistan was unable to touch any boundary in the next six overs such as Ayub (21), Hussain Talat (10) and Farhan (58 out of 45) quickly. Unbelievable beats of Salman (17 out of 13), and Faheem Ashraf (20 out of eight) added 42 points in the last three overs to help Pakistan to reach a competitive 171 for five.

Sharma announced his intentions by touching Shaheen Shah Afridi for a six of the first ball, and hit four boundaries and four sixes to complete his half a century in 24 balls. India seemed to race for a quick victory until Gill (47 discount 28) was bent by Faheem Ashraf in the 10th.

Yadav fell over in Haris Rauf (two to 26) for a duck in the next, and Sharma (74 from 39) was rejected shortly thereafter by Abrar Ahmed, temporarily the pursuit of India.

But India, who beat Pakistan with seven wickets in the group stage, still came across the line, with Tilak Varma (30 out of 19) that Afidi hit a six and four in the last two balls of the innings.

Pakistan will be confronted against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, with both parties looking for their first victory in the Super Four, a day before India playing Bangladesh, who beat Sri Lanka on Saturday.
