Offices and residential are expected to contribute nearly 60 percent of investment by 2025, driven by continued occupier activity and a healthy supply pipeline. with industry, logistics and data centers also attracting interest.
Equity markets further increase liquidity and create alternative investment opportunities through REITs and IPOs, further encouraging cross-border participation in Indian real estate. Global investors are re-entering the real estate markets, seeking diversification across regions and segments and shifting their allocation to Asia-Pacific, with India emerging as the preferred destination, the report said. The survey of institutional investors shows that market fundamentals are improving, liquidity is returning and price expectations are normalizing at a global level.
While established markets such as Japan, Australia and Singapore remain popular, emerging markets, especially India, are gaining attention as destinations for higher returns.
Institutional investments in Indian real estate have remained resilient and totaled $4.3 billion in the first nine months of 2025, supported by steady momentum over the first three quarters, the report said.
