Bengaluru, August 8, 2025: The Indian men’s hockey team left for Australia from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru in the early hours of Friday, while they are preparing for a crucial four-match series against the hosts. The series, which takes place in the Perth Hockey Stadium from 15 to 21 August, will serve as an essential preparation for the upcoming Hero Asia Cup 2025, planned in Rajgir, Bihar later this month.

The Tour is expected to offer the team of valuable competition exposure against one of the world’s best -ranking parties, so that the coaching staff can purchase combinations and the players’ form can be assessed prior to the continental tournament.

Indian men’s hockey team Captain HarmanPreet Singh, who spoke before departure, said: “Playing Australia in their home conditions is always a big challenge, and that is exactly what we need in this phase of our preparations.
