In Pordenon Inge Morath inaugurates the season of author Photography – Pordenone – Arte.it

Pordenon – “As soon as he sees a suitcase, Inge starts to prepare it.”
Thus the husband Arthur Miller, the famous American theater writers who was known on the set of the film “Mad” by John Huston, who became his groom in 1962.
Ten years earlier, Graz’s photographer had made his access to the Magnum Agency, invited by Robert Capa, where he had been the first photojournalist Donna, while between 1953 and 1954 he was an assistant of Henri Cartier-Bresson. In 1965 his first time in the Soviet Union, in 1978 in China, the first of a long series of trips around the world.
The project is devoted to this central figure of the photojournalism of the twentieth century, promoted by the municipality of Pordenone and organized by Suazes, who will be organized in Pordenone in Pordenone from 13 September to 16 November in Pordenone, about 110 photos of the Austrian photographer.

Entitled Ing Morath. Mie StorieThe exhibition represents the start of a rich exhibition that will bring the major protagonists of international photography to the Friulian City in the coming months, with numerous national previews. A new season dedicated to the “read” exercise, the start of a cultural project that places the theme in all its forms in the center, whereby the cultural role of Pordenone is noticed that has built up an extraordinary national interest over the years.

The photographic path of Brigitte Blüml Kainindl, Kurt Kindl and Marco Minz will focus on an unprecedented part of the production of Morath, in particular that the portrait represented with special attention to the universe of literature. An original and not very investigated approach in the production of the Austrian photographer will invite the audience to focus primarily on the second part of his life, characterized by the meeting with the playwright Arthur Miller.

The exhibition project enjoys the support of the autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the support of the Pordenonelegge Foundation.
