Playing in the UEFA Champions League is always a dream for many football players, and Nigerian attacker Ime Ndon has described his debut for Milsami as a “special feeling” despite the exit of his team from the competition.
Ndon made his Champions League bow on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, during the second stage of the first qualifying round against Finnish champions Kups. The Nigerian winger missed the first stage, who lost Milsami 1-0 in Finland.
Last season, IME Ndon played a key role in helping Milsami to win the League League title title.
After the game, Ndon expressed his excitement:
“Making my debut in the Champions League was a special feeling. The dream of every football player is to play in the UEFA Champions League, so for me it was a special moment. I will continue to work hard for more such moments,” Ndon said.

The second stage in Orhei, Moldova, ended in a scoreless draw, which was enough for Kups to go 1-0 on aggregate. The strike by Otto Rudpi in the first stage turned out to be decisive, because the Finnish champions defended their slender lead despite the late pressure from Milsami.
Interestingly, Kups once had a Nigerian attacker, Aniekpeno Udoh, who, like Ndon, comes from the state of Akwa Ibom.
Although the Champions League campaign from Milsami has ended, their European journey will continue in the UEFA Conference League. NDON and his teammates will be confronted with Budućnost van Montenegro in the second qualifying round on Wednesday 23 July 2025.
“This is just the beginning for me in Europe. We will do our best in the Conference League,” Ndon added.
