This Saturday, Crawford is facing Canelo Alvarez in one of the biggest fights in the boxing history in Las Vegas. In the run -up to the fight, Crawford and Topuria have exchanged words from far, including Topuria who promised to spend Crawford in a potential matchup.
Crawford motted Topuria in response and insinuating that the UFC star was ‘probably drunk’ when he tweeted his knock -out promise.

During a recent Wow press conferenceTopuria’s Spanish MMA promotion, the UFC Lightweight Champ hit back on Crawford’s comments.
“If you want to test your technique, your skills, here I am,” said Topuria. “Because it is bothering me lately that there are many boxers who come out and disrupt our game. They criticize and try to put us down. But the truth is that there have been many MMA hunters to go to boxing and test their skills.
“But I don’t know any of the boxers who talk so much, test themselves in MMA. Everyone who wants that, I’m here.”
In a follow -up question by a reporter, Topuria was put under pressure in his career at a certain point in his career about his interest in moving to boxing.
“Yes, that’s a goal of mine, so I would like to do it,” Topuria replied. ‘And if it is against someone like Crawford, much better. But first he still has the [Canelo Alvarez] Fight to win. “
Topuria played Charles Oliveira for the then vacant UFC lightweight belt on UFC 317 in June. In an answer to a question to the aforementioned press conference, Topuria was not specifically about whom he will be confronted for his first lightweight title defense.
