IFHA conference will be live on October 6

The Open Forum of the 59th International Conference of Pearular Authorities, organized by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA), will be available on the website of the IFHA (ifhaonline.org) Starting at approximately 10:30 CEST (GMT+1) on Monday 6 October via live stream. In addition, a repeat of the conference is placed in the days after the event.

This year’s conference will emphasize the performance of the IFHA over the past 12 months and look ahead to future initiatives. Sports television presenter Rishi Persad will moderate the event, which will put a special emphasis on racing bets-Zowel legally as an illegal-EVENS marketing and customer experience. IFHA chairman Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges gives the opening and final remarks of the conference.

The conference will contain a keynote address of a prominent executive that is involved in the growth and innovation of sports/bets. Ben Cleminson is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Square in the Air, a crowned Creative Marketing Consulting Agency for racing and other sports throughout Europe and Asia. The company offers services with regard to performance marketing; Video and content production; media relationships and public relations; social media and influencers; sponsorship and ambassadors; And design and branding. The first session of the conference will racing and marketing – what the customers want today and what the future has in store. Consisting of short presentations followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session, this session will use the dynamic landscape of horse races and investigate marketing and investigate how technological progress and shifting consumer behavior reform the industry.

Speakers planned to participate include Tony Allevato, Chief Revenue Officer and President, Nyra Bets; Felicity Barnard, CEO, Ascot Racecourse; Drew Fleming, President and CEO, Breeders’ Cup Ltd; Pablo Kavulakian, President, American Racing Channel; and Atsushi Kikuta, director of International Affairs, Japan Racing Association (JRA). The afternoon session of the conference will be the growth of the illegal gambling market and tackling challenges in gambling regulation. Speakers on this panel will discuss the immense growth of illegal gambling on racing (and other sports) and also investigating the effects of stricter government controls on gambling. Speakers planned to participate, are Tom Chignell, consultant about integrity projects, the Hong Kong Jockey Club; Brant Dunshea, acting CEO, British Horseracing Authority; Luca Esposito, executive director, World Lottery Association; Martin Purbrick, chairman of the IFHA council for anti-illegal gambling and related crime; and Vincent Ven, head of anti-match fixing, Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

The full agenda can be found here. The first international conference of horse -racing authorities was organized and organized by the Société d’Emirement in Paris, France, on October 9, 1967. Since 1994, the annual conference has been organized by the IFHA. In 2024, the conference proclaimed representatives of around 40 different countries, with a number of other racing executives and media members present.
