Paul Azinger believes that he feels obliged to do this. Bernhard Longer would like to compete against him as soon as he is eligible.

But will Tiger Woods, who will be December 50, choose to make it on the PGA Tour champions as soon as it qualifies?

Ernie Els had a light-hearted message for the 15-time big champion about member of the Senior Circuit.

“Take us again … if you can,” Els said when he was asked to Woods who participated in the Champions tour at the groundbreaking for the Els Center of Excellence in Jupiter, FLA.

“I said, please come and play. And I think it can only be useful to him,” said Els, via The Palm Beach Post. “He will get himself in wave form. You can ride a cart without any shame and if there was a man who should be able to control a cart, he is … and he can get his ass in shape again.”

Woods did not make a PGA Tour start in 2025 after an operation to repair a torn Achilles in March. The 49-year-old Woods picked it up during the TGL season, but has not made a PGA Tour-Start since he missed the cut at the Open Championship 2024.

In January, Azinger said he believed that Woods would make it on the senior circuit to pay back what the PGA Tour has given him.

“I think Tiger may even feel an obligation to play the Tour,” said Azinger. “The Tour has given Tiger a lot of money in recent years with that players’ impact program. I am sure it will go back, and it will be in favor of these guys who are more than 50 here.”

Longer has 47 career victories on the Champions Tour. The double masters champion does not believe that there is some doubt that Woods will choose to compete at the Senior circuit at some point.

“It would be a sensation to see Tiger coming out and play the Champions Tour,” said longer in January, “and I am convinced that he will play several. Depends on it.”

Langer and his son Jason played last December with Tiger and Charlie Woods at the PNC championship and defeated them in a play -off to win the event. Longer had one collection meal by playing the parent-child exhibition with Tiger. He is not yet ready to compete.

“Tiger still loves the game. He is still very competitive and he likes to see his son getting better and better, and Charlie thinks it’s great, so I think he will stay there,” said longer.

Although it is unclear when and as Woods will play on the senior circuit, a legendary golfer believes that if he does, the story will be the same as when he Els and Co. played on the PGA Tour.

“I think Tiger will play the senior tour,” Jack Nicklaus said ‘Golf Central’ from Golf Channel in 2024. “He could step into a cart and he will absolutely kill everyone.”
