The general insurer said in a regulatory filing that the investigation will be conducted in accordance with the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 and the company’s Insider Trading Code and other applicable policies of the company.
Once the investigation is completed, the company will share the outcome of the investigation with the exchanges, it added.
“Upon becoming aware of this incident (within an hour), the designated person deleted the above WhatsApp status from the phone. While this information is in draft form and subject to change during the ongoing audit, as a precautionary measure and in accordance with good corporate governance practices, the company is reporting this incident to the stock exchanges,” the general insurer’s regulatory filing said.
The company cautioned investors not to rely on information relating to the stated financial results unless disseminated by the company following approval by the Board of Directors.
