IceHogs Outscored by Admirals, Fall 5-3 | Pro Hockey News

Milwaukee, WI – The Rockford IceHogs fell 5-3 to the Milwaukee Admirals on Tuesday night at Panther Arena.

The Admirals jumped out to a 1-0 lead with an even score at 7:48 of the first period. Ryan Ufko fed Jake Lucchini in front of the Rockford net, who slid the puck through Drew Commisso.

Rockford responded three minutes later while on shorthand Jamie Engelberts rebound was collected by Dominic Toninato. The forward defeated Milwaukee’s Matt Murray to tie the match at 1-1.

Just 22 seconds after the Hogs tied it, the Admirals took a 2-1 lead while still on the power play. Jordan Oesterle tapped in a cross-ice feed at 11:04.

The IceHogs tied the game five minutes into the middle period with a penalty kick goal Rem Pitlick. The forward covered to his forehand and slid the puck past the pads to tie the game at 2-2.

Reid Schaefer struck back for the Admirals at 11:32 of the second period after that Stanislav Berezhnoi replaced Commesso in the Rockford fold who left with an upper-body injury.

Rockford even pulled again while skating 4-on-4. Kevin Korchinski convenient Ethan Del Mastro outside the crease and the Hogs defenseman deflected the puck for the 3-3.

With 2:13 to play, Zach L’Heaureux scored another goal for the Admirals just outside the crease. Reid Schaefer added an empty-net marker for the 5-3 final.
