International Asset Reconstruction Company has appointed ABHISHEK Maheshwari as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer.
Abhishek Maheshwari has more than two decades of deep expertise in distressed debt management, debt collections and recovery practices in the global markets.
Cross -border experience
His leadership experience includes throughout India, the US, the UK, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, together with the best financial institutions to deliver impactful results in credit and collection management.
Maheshwari obtained a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Iet Luckknow and an MBA from Iim Bangalore.

Praveen Kadle, chairman, IARC, said that the various global exposure and leadership experience of Maheshwari makes him well suited to guide IARC in consolidating its institutional strengths while preparing for the opportunities that await.
Maheshwari said that the sector quickly evolves, influenced by the shifting of the loan behavior, regulating priorities and the growing role of digital and analytical solutions.
“My focus will be on utilizing these shifts to further improve operational effectiveness and build on the reputation of IARC as a future organization that serves the financial ecosystem,” he said.
Before he came to IARC, Maheshwari was a partner at the Boston Consulting Group, where he played an important role in setting up a robust debt collections and recovery practice for the Asia-Pacific region.
Maheshwari was also co-founder and was the Chief Operating Officer of Encore Asset Reconstruction Company, one of the first retail-oriented arches in India.
