I tried it: Why this hoodie was the best thing I used in 2025

Hoodies cover you. But they don’t hide.

They tell others where you have been. They tell others who you are. Take mine for example. My hooded sweatshirts include:

– A baby blue Marquette University basketball jersey with a throwback logo;

– A blue AFC Wimbledon;

– A blue US Women’s Open;

– A brown one with a Catskills Brewery logo;

– A gray one from Radmor;

– A blue one from Radmor

I learned some things, didn’t I? Now you know where I went to college (Marquette); where I traveled last year (England, where AFC Wimbledon plays); where I covered an event this year (the US Women’s Open); and where I like to go on holiday and drink beer (the Cat skills area in New York). The last two hoodies, however, are more internal. While the logo is great – a golf ball with eyes popping out of a hole – they say what I want in clothes (and maybe in other walks of life too):

Comfort. Flexibility. Reliability.

Formally called the Radmor Higgins 2.0 Hoodie, the fit is ‘wearable’: the material fits snugly and stretches, giving you a sleek look without restricting a golf swing. Moreover, the hoodie can be taken anywhere. It works on the golf course. In a restaurant. Writing a story about hoodies at a desk.

It is also reliable.

This year I am working on my third Higgins, which is just as good as the second Higgins, which is just as good as the first Higgins. In 2022 I took Higgins No. 1 and wore it everywhere, so a few months later I quickly bought the gray one. This year the tread on the first one started to wear out, so I ordered the blue one. But they are all equal. Have you ever heard that a sign of a good restaurant is that it can match (or even exceed) the performance of a first visit? Radmor did that here.
