Former American captain Tom Watson is the last to become a member of the struggle and declares that he “is ashamed” by the behavior of the American fans in a social media post on Tuesday.

Given the chaos that unfolded on the Ryder Cup on Saturday, it is easy to forget that players, media and observers found the Bethpage Black fans ‘TAM’.
But it wouldn’t take. A combination of the struggles of the Americans on the course during the first two days, perhaps a desire to predict this week about the behavior of fans, ensured that a minority of spectators lost the plot during the weekend.
Rory Mcilroy and Shane Lowry were frequent goals, and the two European stars that were introduced in the chaos by responding to the crowd with obscene gestures and their own expletives.
American players Justin Thomas, Cameron Young and Scottie Scheffler belonged to those who tried to calm the crowds on Saturday. They later apologized to their opponents for the bad behavior of the fans.
The American captain Keegan Bradley admitted that some fans exceeds the line of what is acceptable.
After the matches, Lowry revealed that McIlroy’s wife had experienced abuse during the event.

Tuesday, Watson After to X.com To first congratulate the triumphant European team, “I would congratulate @RIJDERCUUROPE on their victory. Your team will play sensational for the first few days.”
But he quickly continued to criticize the behavior of fans.
“What is even more important,” wrote Watson, “I would like to apologize for the rude and common behavior of our American crowd at Bethpage.”
Then he continued and stated that he “ashamed” for what happened during the weekend.
“As a former player, captain and as an American, I am ashamed of what happened,” Watson wrote.
Although some fans were certainly out of hand at Bethpage Black, and perhaps the event has been affected forever, it does not offer a complete picture of the American side.
