A British expat is lured over a Spanish store that is “much superior to most supermarkets in the UK”.

Carolina Cornell, originally from Taunton, Somerset, rated her local Mercadona supermarket and gave her top tips for what she had to buy during vacation.

She first visited the drink area where they have a “large selection of different wines”. Carolina, who lived in the Spain Costa del Sol for 11 years, noted her preference for “semi-sweet white wine” and showed a bottle of La Distinguida for just £ 2.30 (€ 2.65).

Her favorite bottle árabe comes in just over £ 3.47 (€ 4). The 33-year-old woman then rated the Mercadona chip section and recommends a package of Nachos’ home band that it is best accompanied by a bowl of guacamole.

She then showed off with the soft drink area and emphasized a new cherry juice for only £ 0.95 (€ 1.10) and box of coconut water for only £ 2.25 (€ 2.60). Carolina then visited the skin care path where Mercadona “has so many great items at really good prices”.

She was also lyrical about their gluten -free products and series of herbal tea. In a follow -up video entitled ‘Mercadona Faves Part 2’, Carolina advised the canned mocal and tuna products from the supermarket chain.

She then showed their packaged pieces of lemon chickens “that are great in the air fryer”. Carolina also visited the cheese and ready-made Meals gangs, including lasagna and Meatballs. She said: “If you like fresh fish, they also have a large fresh fishing desk. This frozen wild salmon is super well priced, I always buy this.”

She also visited the “best selection of ice creams” of the supermarket and advised her favorite products from the huge freezer. She shared the videos on her Tiktokpage with the message: “If you look like me, I just love a leaves in different supermarkets and seeing what other people buy … even more when it’s on vacation!”

But Carolina said that prices have certainly risen in recent years, especially in the last 12 months. She added: “However, the quality and freshness of the products are much better than most supermarkets in the United Kingdom. Much is grown and produced locally in Spain, so that you can really tell that it is fresh.”

Online users flowed to the comments of the Tiktok video from Carolina. A room said, “Great shop!” They added: “I love this video, stored!”

Another Tiktok user noticed: “Keep this, you look like you have so much more choice than me in my local French supermarket, and so much cheaper!” Entertainable fan of social media asked: “Did you try the new summer paste with Citroen?” Another added: “Mercadona products are always of high quality and never change, very reliable.”
