‘I like singing, dancing and models’

I am just a young girl who loves life. I like to play basketball with my father and get my nails done with my mother. I like to play video games with my brothers and do art projects with my sister. I like singing, dancing and model. I like to be the center of attention and I have to be in a NOH8 PSA last summer. I’m pretty great.

My family and school have been so supportive about who I am. There were a few children who were in common, but I just ask them why they were obsessed with me. My second teacher is the best. She didn’t let anyone use my old name or say that I am not a girl. I love school because I get to see my friends. Art and PE are my favorite lessons.

I really want people to know that there is nothing wrong with trans. We can all decide who we want to be, and I just want to be myself. I think we should all want to be ourselves and not who other people think we should be.

Signed,
Julia, Arizona (she/her)
