Domestic shipments to dealers in September saw a slight increase in rising to 51,547 units of 51,101 units in September 2024. Meanwhile, exports rose to 18,800 units, compared to 13,100 units a year ago.
“Post-announcement of GST 2.0 reforms, HMIL witnesses a synergistic coordination of both domestic and export markets that are now growing together-a real double engine growth,” said Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd.
The domestic market performance in September was driven by a strong festive demand and increased customer interest in all segments, Garg added.
He emphasized record-breaking figures in the SUV segment: “We have also witnessed the highest domestic SUV sales penetration in the history of the company at 72.4 percent, with Creta the highest monthly monthly sale scored on 18,861 units.
In the field of exports, the South Korean automaker saw a leap at almost 44 percent on an annual basis, with 18,800 units of September that mark the highest export volume in the past 33 months since December 2022, Garg noted.
