Hundreds of women in the UK consider taking legal action on fears that a contraception JAB is in risk to risk a potentially fatal brain tumor.

Every month around 10,000 recipes are distributed for medroxyprogesterone acetate in England, known under the brand name Depo-Provera, according to NHS data.

But a study, published last year, revealed that women who had used it for more than a year had five times more likely to undergo an meningioma, a kind of brain tumor. It is non-cancer, but can kill by compressing the brain and nerves if it gets too big.

Last October, the United Kingdom called on the regulatory authority of the drugs and health care products to the manufacturer of the Pfizer injection to include a warning about the risk with the leaflets of the patient information.

Pfizer also wrote to NHS doctors who encouraged them to stop women to use Depo-Provera immediately if they were diagnosed an meningioma.

The study of the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety analyzed data on more than 18,000 women in France who had undergone surgery for meningioma between 2009 and 2018.

Although the number that a tumor developed during the use of the puncture was small, the risk was considerably higher than for those who are not on it.

MailOnline reported earlier this month how an 18-year-old was advised by her gynecologist to take the injection to avoid her period.

Jessica Blake said that since the first injection in January 2024 she has suffered 20 attacks, which she described as ‘completely frightening’.

Although no doctor was able to immediately correlate Mrs Blake’s attacks with the Injection Medroxyprogesterone (Depo-Provera), Mrs. Blake believes that there must be a connection, given that she had no previous medical conditions.

She said: ‘I went to A&E every time I had these epileptic seizures and my most recent led me to end up in recovery.

‘It is so frustrating and I feel lost. It is like a burden on my shoulder – I can’t go out without worrying that I am going to get another attack. ‘

Dr. Anne Henderson, an adviser -Gynecologist who worked for 17 years for the NHS, Gorrobered Mrs. Blake’s beliefs that her attacks took place as a result of the period that pills and subsequent injection delayed,

She said: ‘Experience are very rare, but Norethisteronon and Medroxyprogesterone are steroid hormones, so that they can have consequences for each part of the body, including the brain and the central nervous system.

‘It is advised to take medroxyprogesterone, is absolutely shocking, with medical negligence. These hormones are never designed to arrange period problems, slightly less than the long term.

‘The data that the terrible side effects of these hormones present are not new, so why do doctors continue to prescribe them without looking at the cold, hard facts? Women must be trained themselves and ask: why do I assume this? Is this the right thing for me? ‘

About 400 American women have launched a Class Action against Pfizer and other generic makers of the JAB.

They claim that the companies were aware of the link with meningioma, but cannot adequately warn users of the risks.

All women developed meningiomas after using the JAB for at least a year.

Prior to a hearing on Friday in Florida, Virginia Buchanan from the American law firm Levin Papantonio said: “This will bring us closer to achieving justice for women who have never been warned about the increased risk of developing a brain tumor.”

A British medical legal expert, who did not want to be identified, said that his company had been approached by around 200 women who feared that the Jab was the fault of their meningioma or had brought them an increased risk.

Pfizer UK said it couldn’t make a response.
