After the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt -striker Hugo Ekitike, Liverpool comes after they have moved Newcastle for the Race for the Frenchman, who has already agreed the conditions with the Reds
Liverpool -target Hugo Ekitike reportedly submitted a transfer search to Eintracht Frankfurt while he looks at his move to Anfield to get over the line.
The Frenchman came to the fore this summer as the top goal of Liverpool after he seemed to go from Newcastle star Alexander Isak, who could eventually cost them around £ 125 million.
Liverpool has since done their approach for Ekitike – which was also chased by Newcastle and the Magpies had even rejected an £ 70 million bid for the attacker.
The Premier League champions have now emerged as favorites for the player’s signature after encouragement that he wanted to link on the side of Arne Slot.
Liverpool could be forced to pay the Ekitike release clause, which is supposed to be around £ 86.5 million, but he still represents a much cheaper option than Isak.

And to ensure that the move continues, the 23-year-old French international has now submitted a transfer search to Frankfurt.
According to Sports photoEkitike is ready to insist on his large transfer and has taken matters into its own hands.
Newcastle hoped to link Ekitike together with Isak, but now Liverpool seems to have the better deal.
Slot already has a shame of wealth at the front with Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa.
But he wants to take the goals from Salah and offer more top quality competition in advance. The club showed how seriously they had an imminent attack force after rejecting the £ 58.6 million offer from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz.
Liverpool has already broken a total of six signing sessions this summer – including Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Record Buy Florian Wirtz – who arrived for a British record transfer of £ 116.5 million.
The Reds also welcomed the arrival of goalkeeper Giorgi Marmadashvili from Valencia and signed Schotstopper Freddie Woodman after his release from Preston and Armin Pecsi.
