Today’s result at Villa Park puts Aston Villa in third place in the Premier League, while Newcastle United could now move above Manchester United, who are currently in seventh place, if they repeat their 2-0 win at Old Trafford in late December 2024.
Fulham v Forest completes this round of Premier League matches on Monday evening.
The next Premier League match is the match between Man U and Newcastle United on Friday.
In between there is the match between Arsenal and Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening, to decide which of the two will join Newcastle United, Chelsea and Man City in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
