1. Prepare your body for work

Pregnancy yoga is about more than stretching – it is a soft way to prepare your body for birth. Through hip -running poses you help create space in the pelvis and encourage your baby in the optimum position. Breathing techniques that you practice on the mat can help you go through contractions when time comes. You learn how to ground yourself, stay calm and relieve discomfort instead of resisting it. These are all incredibly valuable skills for labor. Even if things don’t go according to plan, you can feel more connected to your body to help you navigate what you get away.

2. Calm your mind

Being pregnant can bring up a whole wave of emotions – from excitement and awe to doubt and overwhelming. You are not only worried about your baby, you are also enormously aware that you are going through a huge change of life. And it can be difficult to calm those fluctuating thoughts about whether you are ready for the challenge. Yoga is not a magical solution, but that’s is A great way to ground yourself. By tuning to your breath and body, you can get out of your racing month and find a moment of silence.

3. Reconfit your pain and pains

Growing and wearing a small person for nine months takes his toll. It is a lot between pelvic belt, lower back pain, tight calves and restless legs. Practicing yoga has regularly made such a difference for how I feel physically. It helps to free up tension, stretch painful areas and strengthen the muscles that support your bump. It is also a great way to reinack the body – to relieve the pressure on your hips and spine and to help you move more freely as your posture shifts with pregnancy.

Going to my local pregnancy yoga class is one of the highlights of my week. It is a fun way to meet other future mothers and talk to people who can relate to your life so far. You all go through the same weird and wonderful changes, and it is reassuring to share experiences and to laugh at the strange symptoms. It is also a great way to build new friendships for motherhood. Being surrounded by a supporting community of women who go through this lifetime is such a gift.

5. A moment alone for you

Let’s really be, everything feels a bit more difficult when you are pregnant. Whether it works, socialize or just walk to the store, life requires more energy. So taking the time to lie on your mat, breathe deeply and stretch it in a way that feels good, can be a total game changer. Even if it is only 10 or 15 minutes, it is a chance to rest, reset and show yourself some kindness. Pregnancy is the perfect time to delay your well -being and to give priority. You deserve that time.
