For the 13th year in a row, the Golden State Warriors are eyeing Christmas.
This time it’s Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and co. take on No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg and former Warrior Klay Thompson’s Dallas Mavericks at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
So far, the Western Conference clubs have not met in the ’25-’26 campaign. And while neither team is at the top of the pack, both have shown a glimmer of hope.
Golden State has won impressive games against the Suns and Cavs, while Steph and Butler have put in All-Star-caliber efforts.
As for the Mavs, 18-year-old rookie Flagg has exceeded all expectations, averaging nearly 20 points while dropping 42 points in a recent overtime loss at Utah. Klay isn’t making as much noise this year – 11 PPG, 2.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists – but remains a threat behind the arc, with a solid 350 three-point shooting percentage.
