Surprise Rolex Shanghai Masters finalists Arthur Rinderknech and Valentin Vacherot have said they already consider themselves winners at the ATP Masters 1000 event because the cousins made it to the final together.
However, there is still plenty to play for in Shanghai, including prize money. The champion will leave China after earning US$1,124,380.
Entering the tournament, Vacherot had earned $594,077 for his career. The Monegasque player, who had just one career ATP Tour match win entering Shanghai according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, has surpassed that total just by reaching the final. He is guaranteed to earn at least $597,890.
