Houston, Texas (Ktrk) – If the government’s closure takes place, it would start on October 1, but agencies have all their unforeseen plans. The Library of Congress has sent an e -mail on Monday afternoon that it will cancel all events and close by, and NASA has a website that focuses on providing information about how things deal with a potential closure of the government.
A closing of this week would be the 21st Shutdown since 1977. The last time was in 2018 and it took a record 35 days.
It may mean that a slower processing of home loans supported by the government, delays in the federal legal system, slower inspections at ports and slower answers from agencies such as the IRS. But for most people you may not notice the impact at all.
John Diamond is the director of the Center for Tax and Budget Policy at the Baker Institute of Rice University.
“This is just a symptom not to pass on a budget in the normal budget process,” Diamond said. “There are reasons to worry, but it is not ‘the sky falls’. In a sense, it won’t really interfere with your life.”

You still get your e -mail. Payments for social security will be on time. VA hospitals remain open and air travel must remain unaffected.
But there will be thousands of leave from government employees throughout the country, also in Southeast -Texas. This means that employees without wages can be placed with leave and can be dismissed with a long-term closure of food benefits for families with a low income become problematic.
All this is still somewhat speculatively based on exclusions from the past. And there is still a shrinking but open window for the congress to arrive at a kind of agreement that completely deteriorates the closure.
