“How can you play Pakistan after Pahalgam attack?” Ex-Indian cricket player tears in BCCI

Former India spinner Amit Mishra has called for sensitivity prior to the high-voltage India-Pakistan Asia Cup collision in Dubai on September 14.

With tensions high after the terror attack of April 22 in Pahalgam, Mishra believes that Cricket should not ignore the feelings of Indian fans.

Mishra’s strong words about fan sentiment

In conversation with Ani, Mishra said that cricketers represent more than just themselves when they take the field.

“When we play for India, the emotions of our people are connected to us. Even India legends said they would not play Pakistan. That’s how fans connected to the team,” he explained.

Mishra recalled that during the Legends World Championship, India Champions refused twice to play Pakistan, once in the group phase and again in the semi -final. As a result, Pakistan moved to the final, but eventually lost to South Africa.

What the government is on

Despite the fact that voices such as Mishra insist on a boycott, the Indian government has kept its position unchanged. Bilateral cricket with Pakistan remains suspended, but India will continue to experience Pakistan in ICC and ACC tournaments.

The Sportministerie underlined that the withdrawal of such global events could harm the long -term forties of India, including bids for organizing the Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games.
