Jamal Hossain expanded his lead on Wednesday to three shots with a stunning second round in the NSL Luxe presents Telangana Golconda Masters on the Hyderabad Golf Association on Wednesday.
Hossain’s 8 under par 62 in round two was his second error-free card in as many days and brought his total to an impressive 17-under 123, the PGTI said.
Akshay Sharma from Chandigarh (62-64) took place in second place and is now until 14 under 126, three shots behind Hossain.
Another Chandigarh golfer, Angad Cheema (66-62), finished third at 12 under 128 after he corresponded the best score of the day of 62 with Hossain.
Chandimandir-based Chandarjeet Yadav script script a little history by making the very first gap-in-one on a par-4 in the record books of the PGTI.

Hossain, a 10one Tee -Starter on day two, continued from where he left in the round one when he gathered two birdies and an eagle on the rear nine.

“I placed a lower score in the first round, but I felt that I played better today,” Hossain said later.

“Shortly after Chandarjeet made his hole-in-one at 14, I also got very close 15. My round started just after that eagle. I left a few putts behind today, but happy with my driving and tee-shots.
“I just have to keep repeating the same thing in the next two days, so that I can finally cross the line this year after I have come close to several times.”
Sharma also had a clear day and took two shots on either side of the turn.
Just like Jamal, Akshay de Green rode 15 to set up a birdie and also showed a number of great chipping and brought him to the aid when he missed the vegetables.
Arjun Prasad of Delhi, second on the earnings list of the PGTI, had a 65 to share the eighth place at 6 under 134.
Hyderabad Professionals Mohd Azhar (68) and Vishsh Sharma (70) were 35 boundone on 2 under 138s.
