The Charlotte Hornets host the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, January 2 at the Spectrum Center with tip-off at 7:00 PM ET. Both teams come in with recent losses.

Charlotte comes in at 11-22 and has dropped two in a row after losses to Golden State (125-132) and Milwaukee (113-123).

Miles Bridges does mentioned likely with a right ankle sprain, making him the most consequential decision of the game for the Hornets. If Bridges plays, Charlotte will retain a primary wing scorer and defensive matchup; if he is limited, the minutes and offensive burden will shift to backup wings and ballhandlers.

Moussa Diabate is questionable (right wrist), while key frontcourt prospects Ryan Kalkbrenner (left elbow), Mason Plumlee (right groin surgery) and Grant Williams (right knee surgery) are all out.

Milwaukee arrives at 14-20 and trailing after a 113-114 loss in Washington, but defeated Charlotte in two previous meetings (147-134 OT on Nov. 14; 123-113 on Dec. 29). The Bucks’ ability to execute on both ends traditionally makes them a challenge even when dealing with roster limitations.

The Bucks’ injury list for Friday is limited in rotation names but notable in depth: Taurean Prince is out after neck surgery and several two-way players (Alex Antetokounmpo, Pete Nance, Mark Sears) remain unavailable.
