The Rotterdam ladies caused a surprise in the Tulp Hoofdklasse on Sunday. Coach Jorge Nolte’s team cleverly held national champions Den Bosch at 0-0 to take an unexpected point. In the Amsterdamse Bos, Kampong dropped points against Pinoké (1-1), allowing Amsterdam to pass the Utrecht team in the rankings thanks to a convincing 8-1 victory over HGC. Amsterdam is now second, behind leader SCHC, which remains undefeated after a convincing 5-0 win over laggard Oranje-Rood.
Pinoké – Kampong 1-1
In the Amsterdamse Bos, Pinoké and Kampong shared the points. The 1-1 was already the fifth draw between the two clubs in the last six meetings between them. Both goals came from penalty corners just before half time. After seven minutes, Pam van der Laan made it 1-0 via a defensive stick. Just before half time, Kampong equalized through Guusje Moes, who responded attentively to a rebound. Kampong, which took a point from the last two games, dropped to third place in the rankings. Pinoké won one place and is the new number seven.
SCHC – Orange-Red 5-0

Before halftime, Jip Dicke made it 3-0 with her seventh goal of the season. After halftime, SCHC led by goals from Xan de Waard and Yibbi Jansen. SCHC, which is now undefeated in 21 league matches, 11 of which on its own field, has won 11 of the last 12 matches. Attacker Oranje-Rood is stuck with four points from seven games and failed to score for the fifth time.
