In early 2026, Honda will sell the Honda UC3 electric scooter (e-scooter) in the markets of Thailand and Vietnam. In Thailand, the UC3 costs THB 132,600 (RM17,109).
The UC3 is powered by a lithium-ion phosphate battery (LFP), in a fixed mounting, and built to the UNR136 standard. This battery type is a first for Honda and uses the CHAdeMo charging standard, based on an international standard established by the CHAdeMO association.
There are two charging options – 1,200W and 450W – with zero to 100% charging time taking four hours for the 1,200W charger and nine hours for the 450W charger. Charging time from 20% to 80% takes two hours for the 1200W charger and five hours for the 450W charger.
The swingarm-mounted engine was developed and produced in-house by Honda and has a power of 6 kW. This corresponds to 110 cc for a combustion engine.
With regenerative braking, the UC3 gets a range of 122 km, with a limited top speed of 80 km/h. There are three driving modes – Standard, Sport and Econ – and a reverse gear to make parking easier.
Ridig information is displayed on a five-inch TFT-LCD screen, with connectivity to the rider’s smartphone via Bluetooth and Honda’s RoadSync app. Driving features include a smart key and a USB-C charging port, while LED lighting is used throughout.
Honda plans to expand the network of CHAdeMO charging stations across Thailand with a target of 800 stations by 2027. Also available from Honda is a home charging station for the UC3.
