Honda introduced a new model CB1000GT, a motorcycle sports touring fully equipped at the EICMA 2025 exhibition in Italy. Designed for the comfort of long-distance travel, the CB1000GT comes with a host of modern technologies and impressive engine performance.
At the heart of this machine is a 1,000 cc inline four-cylinder engine, sourced from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade model. This engine is tuned for smooth power delivery, producing 147.6 hp at 11,000 rpm and 102 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed gearbox with clutch assist and slipperas well as quick changer as a standard feature.
With a 21-liter fuel tank, the CB1000GT can travel more than 340 kilometers per full fill, according to Honda. The total weight of this motorcycle is 229 kilograms, with a 51:49 weight distribution between the front and rear for lighter and more stable steering control.

In terms of technology, the CB1000GT is equipped with a system accelerator pedal by wire and a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that enables four riding modes – each with its own settings for engine power (EP), engine braking (EB) and traction control (HSTC). Riders can also choose their own settings via a switch on the left handlebar and a five-inch TFT screen.
The suspension system uses Showa Electronically Equipment Ride Adjustment (Showa-EERA™), which provides automatic electronic adjustment to riding conditions. The rear suspension can be adjusted for manual preload while the motorcycle is in motion.
Braking duties are entrusted to two 310 mm front brake discs with four-piston calipers radialwhile at the rear there’s a single 240mm disc with a single-piston caliper. Curves are equipped with ABS and cruise control also included as standard.
Honda also provides a variety of standard equipment, such as left and right side boxes, hand guards, grip heaters and the Smart Key system for keyless operation. Other features include automatic turn signals, a USB-C charging port, Bluetooth connectivity for iOS and Android, an adjustable wind deflector, and a center stick.
The seat height of the CB1000GT is set at 825mm, with an upright riding position for long-distance comfort. Honda also offers three official Hondaline accessory packages: Comfort Pack (more comfortable seats and high windshield), Sports Pack (lower hood, engine protector, wheel stripes and fuel decals), and Urban Pack (50 liter rear box, rack base and alarm system).
