Hockey camps for women heats Olympic Games before 2026 Pro hockey news

The countdown to the Winter Olympics of 2026 is within six months with action in the ladies’ hockey tournament planned to start in Italy on 5 February.

Here is a further consideration of PWHL players on the radar while national teams come together for summer camps that take place all over the world.

CANADA

Hockey Canada Recently announced A list of 30 players who are part of the National Women’s Team of Canada during the 2025-26 season, with players participating in training blocks and attending events during the year. An orientation camp of the national teams, on 26-28 August in Calgary, AB, will bring his ladies, men’s and para-hockey teams together for a three-day off-the-day event. UNITED STATES

The USA Hockey Women’s National Festival Is on the way, 3-9 August, in Lake Placid, NY, who bring together the best American players of the U18 level to the national team. The group comprises 76 college and professional players with the festival that assists in the evaluation process for the Olympic selection. Josh Sciba (NY) returns behind the couch as an assistant coach, with support staff, including athletic trainer Katie Homan (min) and equipment managers Sis Paulsen (min) and Blake Kruse (min). The US has won two of the seven gold medals (1998, 2018) since women’s hockey has made its Olympic debut and the ruling world champions.

Czech Republic

The National Team of the Czech Republic brought 46 players together for a summer camp that was held in Prague on July 23-28 to start their selection process for the Olympic Games. Under the leadership of head coach Carla Macleod (OTT), the country never merged at the Olympic Games, but won back-to-back bronze medals on the women’s worlds of 2022 and 2023 followed by two straight fourth place finishes.

The National Team of Sweden selected 27 players for a camp on July 21, July in Enköping and Bosön. The program won Olympic Bronze in 2002 and Silver in 2006 and was the last medal in the Women’s Worlds with Bronze in 2007. New York Defender Maja Nylén Persson, who ended the 2024-25 season at LTIR, did not compete in the camp.

Six more countries complete the Olympic field 2026 with France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan and Switzerland. France will participate for the first time in the Olympic Games with forward Chloé Aurard (Bos) is expected to have a large part of their attack.
