A 28-bedroom estate and a property with its own golf course were among the luxury homes that most excited real estate watchers in 2025.

The most viewed listings of 2025 have been revealed and the results show that carefully renovated period properties, expansive properties and quirky homes were favorites among house hunters this year.

The property that topped the list was a 17-hectare heritage-listed estate in the Adelaide Hills that was brought to the market by family hotel operator Piermount.

The estate, which housed the company’s headquarters and several short-term vacation rentals on site, was viewed 73,548 times in 2025.

It was followed by another South Australian home known as ‘Yatahlia Manor’, which received 61,419 views.

The eight-bedroom neoclassical home sits on a lush 2.9 hectare property with an expansive duck pond and a 662 m² hangar.

Hidden behind the $35 million home’s picturesque facade are marble-clad interiors, hanging gardens, a rooftop pool and a 12-car garage filled with vintage European sports cars, including a Ferrari 308 GT4 and a Porsche 911.

The next most viewed advert was a site in south-east Queensland with a modified multi-jump motocross track, as well as a resort-style swimming pool, sauna and teppanyaki pavilion. It was viewed 58,567 times.

Number five on the list was a brand new Bel Air-inspired Toorak mansion that was viewed 58,134 times.

The limestone-clad house features a double-height living room, a sculptural spiral staircase, an infinity pool, a gourmet kitchen with Gaggenau appliances and VZug ovens, and a 7-car garage.

Sixth on the list went to a beautiful, renovated six-bedroom cottage in Semaphore, northwest Adelaide.

The classic home, which was viewed 58,108 times, included an open rear extension, a swimming pool and a cabana.

An $8 million, 280-acre estate on the Murray River, with its own 5-hole golf course designed to mimic Augusta National, home of the Masters, was the seventh most viewed property with 57,440 views.

The Northern Territory home of Outback Wrangler Matt Wright and his wife Kaia came in eighth with 54,108 views. It included an alligator house that once housed Spicy, a 15-foot saltwater crocodile.

The top 10 was completed by a lavish Toorak mansion with a tennis court and green space in Brisbane’s south, including a six-bedroom house spread over five pavilions and a 15-car showroom.

The most viewed listing in Sydney was a five-bedroom Cremorne mansion known as ‘Ingleneuk’, which was sold in October by media power couple Lisa Wilkinson and Peter FitzSimons.

In Perth, a nine-bedroom City Beach property with development potential topped the list of most viewed properties, while Hobart’s top property was a homely historic cottage with lush gardens.

Canberra’s most popular property was a domed $7.7 million Deakin house just a stone’s throw from Parliament House.
