The company said that the office of the acting Chief Executive Officer has been registered in the hands of Vikram Kasbekar and he will continue to serve in the HERO Motocorp council as executive director and Chief Technology Officer.
Chital brings leadership in B2B and B2C sectors for more than three decades worldwide. He has an expertise in industrial automation, lighting, information technology services and digital transformation.
Chital has successfully led large listed and multinational companies, encourages growth, profitability and organizational renewal in India, the US and Europe, the company said.
He recently served as a global CEO of Signify’s 4 billion euros in professional activities, leading 12,000 employees in 70 countries and spearhead production, supply chain, product development and digital initiatives.
Earlier, as vice-chairman and general manager of Philips Lighting India, he carried out his spin-off in a stand-alone stock market and clearly consolidated market leadership. He has also held out of the leadership roles at HCL InfoSystems and Honeywell Automation India, so that transformative growth and shareholder value are delivered.
Chitale is an alumnus from Iit Delhi and receives the gold medal from the director. He is also an active angel investor in EVs, clean energy, health tech and agri-tech.
