Hernandez scored his first win in the second division of the AHDC Pace with 3-1 third choice Lew Hauber in a 1:55.1 mile. Once he took the lead after a :27 first quarter, Hernandez rolled under minimal pressure while building a significant cushion through a :55.2 half and 1:24.1 three-quarters. Lew Hauber’s lead dwindled down the stretch as he sauntered to the line for a 2-1/4 length victory over Try Line (driven by Bruce Baker), who rallied for second after a ground-saving trip. Rose Run Woodrow (Joe Lee), the 7-5 favorite, pushed from near last to third and Lenda Hand Man (Stacey McLenaghan) overcame a shuffle for fourth.

Shake N Bake dropped a modest pace to a:57.4 half and 1:26.4 three-quarters before cruising evenly to the finish. Roger Rabbit surged to the front down the stretch and successfully forced a ground-saving trip on Shake N Bake for a neck victory, while Certify took third and Bacardi (Joe Lee) gave chase in fourth.

Bionic opened up three lengths on his rivals to three-quarters in 1:26.4 and held course through the final turn and down the stretch to take an easy 3-1/2 length victory, with pocket chaser Uncle Coz (Yogi Sheridan) departing second. Phelgon (Geovany Hernandez) finished third, a further four lengths behind, and Western Bayama (Joe Lee) was fourth.
