Now it’s the play-off round with United beating Qarabag home and away.
A final aggregate score of 93 sends Newcastle United through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
Eddie Howe’s side followed up the 6-1 win in Baku with a 3-2 win on Tyneside.

It’s actually their 21st win of the season, but they didn’t have a winning picture in the locker room after Qarabag left because the play-off game was only halfway through.
Newcastle United’s head coach introduced this tradition of a photo with everyone after every post-match win as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
It’s also a huge bonus how much it excites fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
