Hemetsberger becomes Two-Sport ONE world champion
In the main event Austrian sensation Stella ‘Always Hungry’ Hemetsberger her name engraved in the history books, right down to the brim Jackie Buntan via split decision to capture the ONE Women’s Strawweight Kickboxing World Title.
The tactical battle unfolded like a high-level chess match. Buntan pressed forward behind sharp boxing combinations, while Hemetsberger relied on distance control and punishing leg kicks to destabilize the Filipino-American striker’s base. In the third and fourth rounds, both women held their ground and traded heavy shots in the center of the ring.
Entering the fifth and final round, the match remained razor sharp. Buntan fired two head kicks and landed a sharp straight right in an attempt to sway the judges. Hemetsberger responded with timely combinations and composed a counterattack to secure the split-decision victory.
With the historic victory, ‘Always Hungry’ is now the undisputed queen of the strawweight division in both Muay Thai and kickboxing, becoming a two-sport ONE World Champion.
Nico Carrillo claims interim gold in Instant Classic
The co-main event provided another unforgettable battle as a Scottish knockout artist “King of the North” Nico Carrillo captured the ONE Interim Featherweight Muay Thai World Championship with a tough unanimous decision victory over Thailand Shadow Singha Mawynn.
During the opening round, both featherweights took a patient and calculated approach. The momentum shifted in the second stanza as Shadow Carrillo staggered with a thunderous left hook, then continued to apply pressure with several strikes throughout the third round.
Carrillo showed his trademark toughness in a dramatic fourth frame, scoring a knockdown with a sharp right hand before unleashing heavy boxing combinations that left both fighters visibly tired heading into the final round.
Carrillo dug deep and applied relentless pressure in the fifth to seal the decision and make history as Scotland’s first ONE World Champion.
