He just wanted to be a Ninja Turtle and now he fights in the UFC

Mansur Abdul-Malik, who now competes in the UFC, says he originally got into fighting because he wanted to be a Ninja Turtle.

The 28-year-old has a pro-MMA record of 9 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw. What’s even more impressive are the statistics.

In 2024, Mansur Abdul-Malik scored a Round 2 TKO victory over Wes Schultz on Dana White’s Contender Series to secure a UFC contract.

Later that year he made his octagon debut against Duško Todorović and achieved a knockout victory in round 1.

His second fight in the UFC was against Nick Klein in February 2025, which he won by knockout in round 2. Later that year, in June, he aligned himself with Cody Brundage, and after three rounds their fight ended in a draw.

Abdul-Malik competed again in 2025, and this time he scored a submission victory in Round 1 against Antonio Trocoli.

Mansur Abdul-Malik will enter the octagon at UFC Seattle in March opposite Yousri Belgaroui (9-3).

In a recent episode of the JAXXON podcastWhen Mansur asked Abdul-Malik if he was going to fight to become a Ninja Turtle at the age of six, the 28-year-old admitted:

“Yeah, it’s totally true. It’s totally true, and it’s still the idea I have now, man. I see myself as something else. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, you’re on this tear, you’re a rising star.’ I never see it that way. It’s not even that I’m downplaying anything. I literally don’t see it that way. I literally only train martial arts. I love food. I love to compete and be under the lights. I don’t feel any pressure. None of that stuff even crosses my mind.”

Abdul-Malik added that he feels more pressure while shopping than ever in the octagon:

“Every time I go to compete, I don’t think about tomorrow. I don’t think about waking up the next day, and it’s just so liberating. I’m literally just there. I just feel so peaceful. I feel more pressure when I go to Whole Foods and just go to the grocery store. When I compete, it’s just beautiful, man. That’s all I’m really trying to do.”
