Driver Blake Jones showed composure despite starting as favorite.
My original plan was to lead. When he won his first race with Melissa riding him, he did it tough.
But after they worked so hard, I decided to take it easier. I had to balance it. He got a little lost when I let him go, but as soon as I released the plugs he went to the line really well.
And Jones’ patience was rewarded. Noticing the high early speed, Jones went one out and one back, only timing his sprint as he exited the straight. Yarraman shocked his wide barrier but ran his first quarter in 27.3 seconds, an effort that would eventually take its toll.
IM NO PROBLEM NOV 14 REPETITION
Wicked Wizard similarly struggled to race outside the leader after being three wide for most of the early trip. However, despite fighting on, he was no match for Im No Trouble, who is now undefeated in two outings.
Although it is still early at this stage, Im No Trouble can only improve. Next season he will be more mature and could be a serious contender for the classics for three-year-olds.
Michael Hawke added.
His older brother Im In Trouble won more than $164,000. I have also been very lucky with the family. I had a mare Girl In Trouble who won a VicBred three year old at Melton. I’ve had about 70 wins with the family.
I’m keen to try the Bathurst series as a three-year-old and there’s still a possibility he could go to the Leeton MIA Breeders Plate on Boxing Day.
Obviously things can go wrong for young players when they resume, but the way In No Trouble has won his two starts gives the impression he may be slightly above average.
