Lewis Hamilton says he remembers that he likes to racet in Formula 1 and have more fun for him because the season resumes this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix.
The move from the seven -time world champion to Ferrari has to yield a stage this year and the failure to score points in Hungary Hamilton in particular Downbeat on the way to the summer holidays. After a few weeks off, Hamilton says that he wants to entertain more after he felt that the switch to his new team came with extra pressure that he distracted from his love for the sport.
“I feel determined and motivated [move forward]”Hamilton said.” We are just going to work, keep our heads down, try to change a few things in our approach and start to entertain ourselves.
“There has been so much pressure in the first half of the season, it has not been the most pleasant. So I think we just remember that we love what we do, we are all together and try to have fun.
“In the end, just to get on top of everything, the amount of work we have [done]All new partners, the amount of shoots we have done, are integrated into a new team … and it is a large, large team, the biggest brand in our sport too. So a combination of all those different things has been a lot.
“It is probably the most important part [to have fun]Because that is the reason I came to this sport. It was fun for me, and I think that for someone in whatever career you are in you, if you don’t enjoy what you are doing, why do you do it?
“There can often be so much noise, you can lose sight of what is real, very important. I just want to really concentrate on going back to that pleasure. I have become a member of the team that I have always dreamed of riding and there has been so much noise that it is a bit clouded to enjoy it, so now it is about moving those things to the side and to go to the side.”
Despite his disappointment after the last race in Hungary, Hamilton says that the break offered a chance for him to switch off before he thinks about 2025 so far.
“Not much has changed, but the good thing is, if you get time to link it up, it is a reset,” he said. “We had the time to continue last week, especially to continue where we have been, things that we want to improve, processes and things we want to try to change.
“I see a lot of potential. There are many positives to take from the first [half of the year] Although it did not necessarily look the most positive. There are many positives to take from it, which we will take further and try to build on it. “
