Hair Mineral Analysis Test: Advantages, Costs and My results | Podcast with Jill Norris

6 minutes, 4 seconds Read

Participate in this insightful podcast episode with Jill Norris, RNWhile we dive into the results of my own hair mineral analysis test (hmat).

Jill shares her experience in helping thousands of customers in the last 3 years and explains how the minerals stored in our hair tissues offer a clear map of what is happening in our body, especially with our endocrine system (adrenal gland).

You also learn how to guide its mineral analysis tests detox protocols using minerals the size of an atomic size to safely chel (remove) heavy metals from the body.

What is a hair mineral analysis test?

A hair mineral analysis test (also known as HMAT or mineral hair test) measures the levels of important minerals and toxic metals stored in your hair tissue.

It is different from a blood test, because it shows what your body has stopped in the long term, not just what is currently circulating in your blood.

This simple, non-invasive test can reveal deeper patterns of shortcoming, toxicity and hormonal imbalance that are easy to miss due to standard laboratory work.

Important insights from the podcast

Minerals and thyroid function

  • Potassium sensitizes the cell to T3 hormone
  • Selenium helps with the conversion of T4 (inactive form) to T3 (active form)
  • Certain plants block mineral absorption (oxalates!) And depressive thyroid function – weeks of grains and cooking greens (such as spinach, kale) are the solution.

Minerals and your hormones

  • Copper and estrogen follow each other in the body. If copper is up, estrogen is up.
  • Zinc represents testosterone and progesterone.
  • The body stores minerals in tissues. If the blood levels fall, the body can pull the required minerals out of the tissue.

We also discuss how minerals reflect or indicate emotional – Yes, stress is shown in mineral levels and proportions!

How a hair mineral test helps with the detox of heavy metals

Jill uses routine mineral hair analysis tests to design safe, effective protocols to detoxify heavy metals such as mercury, lead and aluminum.

The protocol usually starts with balancing your electrolyte minerals and then using targeted support (such as zinc and selenium) to draw the toxic metals.

If you are wondering whether your symptoms can be related to hidden toxicity, a hair analysis for mineral shortcoming and metal load can give you the answers you need.

Anemia – tissue versus blood levels of iron

We end the podcast with a discussion of iron and anemia. Jill points out that if your iron fabric levels are good, you have to have a blood panel done to check for iron binding capacity.

If the Hmat shows that your fabric levels are made of iron in the acceptable range, then taking more iron is not the solution. The Iron -Binding Capacity (blood test) panel must reveal a problem with how your body uses iron to make hemoglobin, and whether something goes wrong with that path.

Or you can have B12 deficiency. You can also check this by looking at your cobalt level on the Hmat. Don’t forget to take B12 in liquid form (such as Multiabsorb) or sublingual.

My personal experience after doing the hair mineral analysis test

I immediately implemented Jill’s suggestion to add Celtic sea salt to water, instead of just eating. And wow. At the first sip my body said: “Yes !!”

Who knew that salt in water (or herbal tea) could make such a difference? I have made my own herb infusions of stinging nettle in hot water and now I also add a pinch of salt.

Jill is not familiar with Trace matrix And the powerful power of fulvic/humus to chelate heavy metals, so I also added that to the protocol she gave me.

If you mine MusculartYou know it already contains potassium. But for someone who falls as much as I, I had to take extra potassium (I added to muscle matrix) and that alone was a game changer. Muscle cramps don’t even occur and I have more energy.
